SESSION INFO

I specialize in high school seniors & family sessions.  At this time, I do not photograph weddings, newborns or extended families.

I have created online magazines for each genre of portraits that I offer. Simply shoot me an email letting me know which you are interested in (senior guy, senior girl, family) and I’ll send you back an online magazine full of all the details on how to book, what to expect, pricing, and more’!

The session day is all about YOU! I want to hear your ideas, thoughts and opinions. I want you to love these images…not look back and say, “well, that was awkward.” After you book your session, I’ll have a client information form for you to fill out~I encourage people to really write out their likes and dislikes, etc. I want the images to reflect your senior or your family, not my obsession with the latest trend in portraits!  Unless you’re down for something weird 😉

We book the majority of our sessions from May through November. Senior sessions are always booked during the week, and family sessions are weekday evenings in the summer, as well as a handful of weekends in the fall.

LOCATION

I am blessed to have my studio located right on our property in between Buffalo and Monticello. We have both indoor and outdoor studio sets, as well as over 6 acres of land to roam. We typically start sessions here, however, I am always open to new location ideas…if you have a cool property or park nearby that you’d like to try, let’s do it! The sky’s the limit! Speaking of the sky, we do need to take lighting into consideration. Outdoor pictures look best in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening…the light is heavenly!

I prefer to photograph families outdoors. I find that everyone is more comfortable and happy when they have room to breath. And happy families = beautiful pictures!

ORDERING SESSION

About a week after our session you will get an email with a link to a calendar to choose your day/time to come back and view your images. These appointments are held on Mon/Tues/Wed evenings here at the studio.
On the day of your appointment, Tera or Kristin will sit down with you and show you a slideshow of your images set to music. After you’ve admired all of your loveliness, they will help you decide what to do with your favorite pictures! Almost every client of ours purchases an album, it’s the BEST way to keep all of the images from your session in one place. There is something special about having printed, tangible products to admire for years to come. Even though we absolutely sell digital files and mobile apps, they will never be as treasured as a a beautiful portrait on your wall.

You are expected to place your order that evening, so make sure all decision makers are present. Please allow 4+ weeks for your portrait order to be completed.

For senior sessions, most of our clients will spend between 1500-3600*
For family sessions, most of our clients will spend between 1400-2800*

For many of us, custom photography is a luxury, and for that reason, I promise that you will love the pictures from your session. If you aren’t jump for joy happy with the results…well, I’ll think of something to make it right…there may be wine and chocolate involved…we’ll figure it out!

I used to use the word ‘cost’ or ‘pricing’ on the section of my website that dealt with money…I thought the term ‘investment’ sounded stuffy, like I was selling savings bonds. But over the years, I’ve come to realize that there really isn’t a better term for what you are purchasing. You are investing in memories, investing in history for your family, and your future generations. Life changes in the blink of an eye~having beautifully recorded proof of that sliver in time is invaluable. Holy cow, I think I made myself cry a little. Is anyone else crying? I need a tissue.
